Plan A Labor Day Weekend
Bar Crawl!

Summer may be hanging up its coat for another year, but there is still one more big finale weekend to enjoy. Labor Day weekend is coming up, marking the last of the “summer mindset.”

It’s in the name – Labor Day is a time to ignore your work emails, politely decline any professional status updates, and enjoy a full day of relaxation and fun.

While Scottsdale doesn’t have to say goodbye to warm weather, we still need to celebrate Labor Day and give that extra day off the attention it deserves.

Here are our favorite Scottsdale Labor Day Party activities to take on this year!

Head to a pool party

Labor Day Weekend Pool Party in Arizona

It’s no secret that it is still spicy-hot in Scottsdale – so any outdoor activities should include bathing suits and water. Good thing Scottsdale has more than enough pool parties to explore – and even has some Labor Day parties to take on!

W Hotel Wet Deck

The Wet Deck at the W Hotel hosts the star-spangled splash pool event – the place to be if you want a wild Labor Day weekend. They will have fantastic local DJs, signature cocktails, and a party that lasts until Monday. You can even reserve VIP tables for more space and luxury!

Maya Day Club

Known as “The biggest Vegas-style pool party in Arizona,” Maya Day Club pool parties definitely try to live up to that reputation every weekend. But holiday weekends like Labor Day, they really bring it. They lean into the authentic day party experience, from popped champagne bottles to packed pools to giant fishbowl drinks to share (or take on by yourself). With the regular big-name DJs and gorgeous party goers, it’s the perfect place to party on a Monday like it’s Saturday.

Saguaro

If you love the aesthetics and gorgeous ambiance, you’ll love Saguaro. Everywhere you look, you’ll see bright pops of yellow, deep green grass, and retro mod design for the perfect Labor Day party TikToks. You can even choose between a peaceful and more party pool scene. So sip a cute watermelon slushie, enjoy the pool of your choice, and luxuriate in the extra day of relaxation.

Plan a Labor Day Brunch

Labor Day Weekend Brunch

Butters Pancakes & Cafe

Sometimes, you just want to skip the bells and whistles and sit down to a delicious plate of food. That’s when you should make a reservation at Butter’s Pancakes & Cafe. There is something to satisfy every craving, from a long list of pancake flavors to crepe to egg skillets. This is the place to throw on your stretchiest sweats and relish in the sweet casual atmosphere while you enjoy all of your favs.

Montauk

Nothing says Labor Day weekend like a Mimosa Punchbowl. What other reason do you need to stop by Montauk this holiday weekend?

Montauk is another fan favorite for a filling Scottsdale brunch. You can dig into traditional favorites like breakfast burritos and crepes or branch out with a brunch menu that features house-made potato chips and dip, mac-and-cheese, or prime rib breakfast sandwiches. There’s no need to stick to tradition here.

Word to the wise – don’t expect to be able to just stroll in here at 10:30 on Sunday or Labor Day and immediately have a seat. Scottsdale locals and tourists love a reason to enjoy Old Town, so this spot will be packed! Get a reservation or expect a wait.

RnR

RnR is widely known as the best brunch spot in Scottsdale so expect this spot to be packed on Labor Day weekend as well. Locals love the brunch tacos and the stylish indoor/outdoor seating right in the heart of Old Town. And in true holiday weekend fashion, it has a separate menu specifically for brunch cocktails! With keep ‘em coming mimosas and bloodies, what more do you need?

Labor Day Events in and around Scottsdale

Head Outside

Are you ready to beat the heat of the outdoors but still get all the fantastic views? Then, embark on Detours’ ever-popular Grand Canyon and Sedona Red Rock day tours. These excursions depart from Scottsdale and promise stunning desert views and plenty of Insta-worthy photo ops – but you get to travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned luxury bus. They even feature a Labor Day weekend discount – save 10% on these memorable tours over the holiday!

Desert Botanical Garden Labor Day Celebration

The party doesn’t start when the sun goes down – not even for kids! You can explore the mysteries of the Desert Botanical Garden after dark for a great family-friendly Labor Day activity. The Saturday “Flashlight Nights” self-guided tour allows explorers of all ages to witness night-blooming plants and desert animals that only come out after dark! Pair this with the nighttime farmers market, and you got yourself a fun outdoor Labor Day experience that doesn’t happen under the hot Scottsdale sun.

Scottsdale Princess Labor Day Party

Are you planning to be a guest at the Fairmont Princess during Labor Day weekend? This luxury hotel is an excellent spot for a Labor Day celebration for guests and day visitors alike! First, enjoy pool time at six sparkling pools with unique perks, like a white sand beach, water slides, or adult-only spaces. Then, you can catch an impressive fireworks display on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. And of course, you can enjoy special pricing for rooms, activities packages and more with their great Labor Day Deals!

Plan your own Labor Day Party

Labor Day Weekend Bar Crawl in Arizona

Plan a Labor Day Bar Crawl

Of course, we would be doing you a disservice by not mentioning ourselves. If there is anything that perfectly complements a day of skirting work responsibilities for one more day of fun, it’s exploring the Old Town party scene on a pedal pub crawl.

Arizona Party Bike pedal bar crawls take a group of 15 (and if you have more, you can rent multiple bikes!) to the coolest day and nightlife in Scottsdale. From classic Irish pubs to arcade-filled bars, there is something for everyone. You’ll get to visit three different stops, but the party really starts with the pedaling, music and drinking games on the bike.

Host a BBQ to End All BBQs

While it may seem counterproductive to stay home for the extra day off that Labor Day weekend offers, we promise it just may become your favorite part of your weekend. All you need are the right tools to make it memorable!

The Bar Is Open will drive the upscale-bar-quality cocktails straight to your backyard party. In addition, they have unique offerings, including cocktail mixology classes in case you want something more interactive!

Want the BBQ life without actually having to make the food? Private chefs like Chef William Turner can create impressive dishes tailored to your and your group’s preferences. All the flavor, none of the work! On top of that, he is an excellent addition to any party atmosphere.

Summer is almost over, so make the most of this Labor Day weekend. Don’t let that extra Monday Funday opportunity go to waste! And if you need help planning a great Labor Day party, reach out to our team today.
